Glossary

The world of graphic design, video production, and web development is full of technical terms that are often difficult to understand in everyday life. In this glossary, I explain the most important terms from the fields of print, video, and web – concisely, clearly, and without unnecessary jargon. Whether you want to learn about prepress, video editing, or web design: you'll find the right explanation here.

Missing a term you'd like explained? Just send it my way and I'll add it to the list.

Lazy loading

A technique where images or content further down a page are only loaded once the visitor scrolls near them, rather than all at once – improving initial loading time, especially on image-heavy pages.
